A cheery trouble free drive to the airport by our two guides Tim and Derek was gratefully recieved . PLaced on the plane and then delayed for two hours was a bit of a blow. THis had the fun consequence of us missing our connecting flight. We didn't find the 8 hr flight to philadelphia too bad, frustrated to have to throw our fruit away before entering the states. Then at the second custom control we were stopped from taking the water we purchased from Manchester through. We now wait for the next plane to San fran which is 3hrs later than we booked, but it's 16 degrees and sunny here so what the heck.
Here I am writing this blog instead of sleeping, had to buybuy our own food and there is no on board entertainment. Some helpful suggestions from another passenger, hot wire and price line.
Picked up the car, twice round the airport and off, a night in Pleasanton at motel 6
